What patients often ask.

Do I need a referral from my GP?+

No GP referral is needed for a private appointment. If you have a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), eligible chiropractic care requires a valid referral from your GP or prescribed medical practitioner. Bring it to reception.

What happens during a chiropractic adjustment?+

A chiropractic adjustment may involve a controlled, targeted movement applied by hand or with suitable equipment after assessment. ChiroRelief also uses mobilisation, a gentler movement-based technique. Your chiropractor will explain the proposed technique before treatment.

How safe is chiropractic care?+

ChiroRelief's chiropractors are registered health practitioners with university training. Your chiropractor considers your history and examination findings, explains the proposed techniques and relevant risks, and adapts the approach to your circumstances.

Can people of different ages see a chiropractor?+

We see people of different ages and offer techniques including mobilisation, drop piece, Activator and Accustimm. Your chiropractor selects an approach after reviewing your age, health and presentation; contact reception about a specific family member's appointment.

Does ChiroRelief see children?+

Yes, ChiroRelief sees children. Please call reception to confirm current availability and discuss the child's age and reason for the visit before booking; the clinical approach is tailored to the individual.

Will treatment hurt?+

We aim to use gentle techniques suited to you. Experiences vary, so tell your chiropractor about any discomfort or concerns. They can explain what to expect and adjust the approach.

What results should I expect?+

Your chiropractor will discuss what to expect before treatment. Some people notice changes sooner than others, and the response depends on the presentation. Progress is reviewed over time; no particular result can be guaranteed.

How many appointments will I need?+

Treatment plans differ from person to person. After your assessment, your chiropractor will discuss the proposed frequency and duration of care and review it with you as you progress.

What should I wear or bring?+

Wear comfortable everyday clothes and remove bulky outer layers if needed. Bring relevant existing X-rays, scans or reports and a current medication list to your first consultation.

How much will my appointment cost?+

Your first appointment and second appointment (Report of Findings) are $150 each and take approximately 60 minutes per visit. Ongoing chiropractic and spinal decompression appointments are $109 and take approximately 30–40 minutes.
